Infosecurity Europe Is Coming Up! Here Is Your Survival Guide
Infosecurity Europe is back and bigger than ever! They are expecting 19,500 information security professionals.
Due to sheer amount of people attending, we've compiled a survival guide so that you can get the most out the event.
1. Check out who is exhibiting
This allows you to evaluate who you would like to visit on the day. Ivanti will be on stand C40, which is a clear as mud when you arrive, so just look for our boozy liquid nitrogen ice cream doing the rounds!
2. List all of the keynotes you would like to see
There are some very exciting sessions happening this year.
3. Pre-book product demos and product trials
Hopefully by this point you will have decided which vendors you plan on speaking to. Pre-booking a demo allows you to see an uninterrupted product demo and skip the crowds. Ivanti is offering a free 30-day patch trial which will cover your entire infrastructure. But we are only giving away a limited amount, so pre-booking is advised!
4. The early bird catches the worm
The doors open 9:30 a.m. By arriving early you can skip the crowds and explore the exhibition floor. This also allows you to grab some early swag and nab a seat in the keynote theater.
5. It gets very hot
All infosecurity visitors will know that InfoSec gets very hot! That’s why we are giving away liquid nitrogen Ice cream, but not just that, we are adding Kraken rum into ours! At peak time after 3 p.m., we are then offering lquid nitrogen frozen gin slings! Don’t say we never think of you!
6. Utilize LinkedIn
Instead of handing out business cards, why not just add new contacts on on LinkedIn? How many of you take home bags of leaflets/business cards and end up forgetting about them? It’s okay, we all do it!
7. Speaking of social media…
Start following the official #infosec18 hashtag on Twitter so you can get a feel for what vendors will be exhibiting. It's also a good idea to keep an eye on the hashtag post-event, too, since you will discover content and ideas that you may have missed.
8. Ask about GDPR
With the recent GDPR legislation that will have taken effect, make sure to ask about how the various companies will be using your details and allows you to opt in to any further emails after the show.
9. Wear comfy shoes
Obvious, right? But we have all fallen foul of choosing the wrong footwear!
See you very soon!
