LANDESK pioneered the IT systems management category more than 25 years ago, and has lead with one of the most recognized and awarded solutions available—LANDESK Management Suite (now Ivanti Endpoint Manager).
LANDESK was established in 1985 as LANSystems, acquired by Intel in 1991 as its LANDESK division, and spun off as an independent company in 2002. Private equity firm Thoma Bravo acquired LANDESK Software in 2011. In 2012, LANDESK purchased both Managed Planet and Wavelink, a provider of supply-chain mobility software solutions. In 2013 LANDESK purchased patch management and network security innovator Shavlik from VMware.
In 2015, LANDESK acquired Xtraction Solutions, a company that brings business intelligence to IT operations initiatives. In 2016, LANDESK acquired AppSense, the leading provider of management solutions for secure user environments. In January 2017, Clearlake Capital acquired LANDESK from Thoma Bravo and combined LANDESK with HEAT Software to form Ivanti.
