Ivanti Cloud Unifies IT Operations and Security Processes So Organizations Can Quickly Discover, Gain Insights and Take Action

New Cloud-Based Platform Provides Real-Time Device Analytics and Prescriptive Advice while Bridging Insight and Processes Across IT Operations and Security Teams

SALT LAKE CITY — 12 March 2019 —

Ivanti, the company that unifies IT to better manage and secure the digital workplace, today announced the release of Ivanti® Cloud. The new cloud-based platform unifies IT operations and security data and processes so organizations can quickly assess their environment and gain insights. Providing a real-time view into device analytics, the new cloud-based solution also offers prescriptive recommendations through Ivanti Smart Advisors, which provide prioritized, data-driven guidance for what to do next to help analysts be more effective.

“Complexity and risk are standing in IT’s way, preventing them from delivering on new strategic initiatives,” said Duane Newman, Vice President, Product Management, Ivanti. “We are all about helping organizations discover, gain insights and take action in their environments. The new Ivanti Cloud establishes a foundation that we will continue to build on to help siloed IT teams improve processes, communication and response times, ultimately allowing them to take prioritized action to improve security and user productivity.”

Ivanti Cloud is a cloud-hosted solution that collects and manages data across an enterprise’s servers and endpoints and serves as a central hub for security and operations teams. Key components include:

  • Real-Time Intelligence. Now IT has a fast, single view into the real-time state of the environment, including contextual user activity, security and device health. By collecting diverse data, such as real-time security health, software license usage, hardware warranties, and much more, it delivers rapid visibility into systems that require attention or security remediation. For example, one Ivanti Cloud beta customer has already achieved real value and cost avoidance by identifying failing batteries on laptops, allowing them to replace them before the warranty period was up. With Ivanti Real-Time, users no longer need to wait for scans to complete or use data that may be weeks old. Featuring natural language search, it’s also easy to identify troubled systems, or vulnerabilities such as inactive Windows firewalls or disabled encryption, and take rapid action with a click of a button.
  • Smart Advisors. Working to remove barriers between siloed IT teams, Ivanti Smart Advisors offer prescriptive advice to improve enterprise health and reduce complexity. With Smart Advisors, Ivanti Cloud details recommended best practices and prioritizes the necessary actions IT operations and security teams can take to minimize risk and improve availability and performance. Device reconciliation is a great example of the intelligence Smart Advisors can provide. Large organizations often struggle to know if the devices they acquire are being used and who has them. One Ivanti Cloud beta customer was able to use this capability to quickly identify over 30,000 devices that they had “lost track of” across their enterprise. Ivanti normalizes the data and reconciles it across Active Directory, purchase data, and endpoint management systems to give an accurate picture of the status of their hardware assets as well as their reliability.
  • Data Services and Connectors. To support broad data services and system discovery, Ivanti Cloud offers system connectors for both Ivanti and third-party system management solutions. Data services uses connectors and cloud agents to aggregate data, then normalizes and reconciles the data so that it can be leveraged by multiple systems, including Smart Advisors, dashboards, other cloud services and on-prem solutions.
  • Automation Fabric. Ivanti Cloud also features automated actions that are built or scripted in the cloud. Used to trigger processes or point to actions both in the cloud or on-prem, this automation fabric is a flexible framework upon which additional automation of actions and processes can be built.

“With the release of Ivanti Cloud, Ivanti is transforming IT operations and security. It’s a great add on for existing customers with the added speed and efficiency it delivers through Real-Time intelligence coupled with unified data and actions,” said Bryan Boam, CEO, Network Consulting Services, Inc. (NCSI). “However, it also works great in environments without Ivanti’s traditional products, or for companies using a mix of IT technologies from a variety of vendors. Ivanti Cloud is delivering the comprehensive platform organizations need to innovate within IT, so they can deliver a better experience, added security and solid reliability to their global enterprise.”

Ivanti Cloud is included in Ivanti enterprise license agreements (ELA) or is available as a per-node subscription. For more information visit: https://www.ivanti.com/solutions/ivanti-neurons.
