As a retailer devoted to tourism, gift shops and convenience marts, small item picking accounts for a large percentage of their inventory movement. Employing voice technology to their picking needs helped reduce picking errors and increased their picking efficiency by 40%. In addition to lowering their warehouse labor costs, the increased efficiency also reduced store labor by enabling warehouse operations to provide a higher level of service. With the success of this implementation, ABC Stores is now looking to deploy this technology to their remote distribution centers.
