Ivanti Global Academy: 10 Frequently Asked Questions
Ivanti’s Global Academy (IGA) is an all-inclusive, unlimited, annual subscription that places the power of learning in the customer’s hands. Cloud-based, our blended learning environment helps Ivanti customers train on what they want, when they want, and how they want.
In early September, we ran a popular webinar all about the ways that IGA helps enhance your Ivanti experience. In this webinar, program guru Heidi Bunnell gives an overview of IGA’s content and services. The webinar ended with a comprehensive question and answer session, where Heidi answered some of the frequently asked questions about IGA.
What is the difference between a training voucher and a subscription?
A training voucher is what we use to sell individual boot camp classes. The voucher only works to the specific class you sign up for. An IGA subscription is a one-year, all-inclusive subscription that includes all classes. You can even take classes multiple times.
How do I use my training voucher in Global Academy?
Many customers still have existing vouchers, so we are allowing customers to convert their three and five day training vouchers into an IGA subscription. Contact your account representative for help with this. For one and two day class vouchers, send an email to [email protected] asking to redeem your voucher. They’ll respond with instructions on how to proceed.
Does Ivanti still offer private training?
Yes we do. We’re very well known for our custom private trainings. This is not included in an IGA subscription. If you would like an onsite training or private training remotely, contact your account representative.
Is Service Manager Analyst training covered under a subscription?
No, it isn’t. Due to the custom nature of this class, we always teach this class as a private, 100 percent customizable experience. It is sold as a half day private training, either remote or onsite.
Can I submit topic ideas for the group discussions?

What is the difference between an ILT and a LOT?
In IGA, we have two ways we host instructor led online training. The first is through our original boot camp sessions, known as Instructor Led Training (ILT) classes. These are longer, instructor led classes. The second type of training is through shorter live online sessions, known as Live Online Trainings (LOT).
As a way to know what trainings are what type, locate the prefix in the session ID. The session ID will start with LOT or ILT. For example, if you’re looking for a longer instructor led training on User Workspace Manager, you’d look for the session ID ILT-UWM.
Does Ivanti have videos and/or recordings?
Yes, we’re currently in the process of adding as much high-quality content as possible. We currently have a couple videos for each product, and by the end of the year, we hope to have more than 100 videos available.
Can I still use my one-day support entitlement vouchers?
Yes, these one-day support entitlement vouchers can still be used. To use these, send an email to [email protected] letting us know what voucher you have and we’ll send you instructions on how to redeem your voucher and register for a class.
How often is new content added?
We add new content continually, almost everyday!
If I convert my five-day voucher to an IGA subscription, can I still take the five-day class?
Yes, absolutely. If you convert your three-day or five-day voucher into an IGA subscription, you’ll still be able to access and attend the three-day or five-day class. You can even take it more than once, since IGA is an unlimited subscription.
